Park Hee Bon talks about gaining weight for 'Bubble Gum'

Actress Park Hee Bon, formerly an idol girl group member of SM Entertainment's M.I.L.K, attended the press conference for her new drama tvN's 'Bubble Gum' on October 19 where she talked about the troubles of gaining weight for a role.

She explained, "It's a character that needs to be plump.  I tried to gain enough weight to be a size 66 (size 8 to 10), but the weight wouldn't stay on well, maybe because I'm young."

She plays third-general chaebol, dentist Hong Yi Seul, who has one-sided feelings for Lee Dong Wook's character, Park Ri Hwan.  

She continued, "The director and writer told me they'd buy me a lot of alcohol and food so I could gain weight, but they still haven't bought me once," making everyone laugh. She continued, "There was a time in the past I had to play a chubby character.  Back then, I gained weight by eating chicken with beer and skates everyday.  Now, I'm busy, so I can't eat properly."
