Lee Yu Bi's agency, Sidus HQ, dropped an official report regarding a recent perpetrator, 'A', who threatened the actress and requested money from her in a blackmailing attempt.
Sidus HQ wrote, "We relay our official statement regarding 'A', who requested money from Lee Yu Bi and threatened her, stating that s/he would circulate information taken from her personal cell phone today."
According to the report, in the middle of this month, 'A' discovered Lee Yu Bi's phone and threatened to either sell her personal information to the press or leak it online, blackmailing her for money.

In continuation, "'A' stole without permission the personal information from the lost article s/he found and consistently requested for money by sending threatening phone calls from different public phones. Regarding this, there was no reason to hide the contents of the cell phone, so the company immediately requested the help of an investigation institute, leading to the immediate arrest of threatener and blackmailer 'A', who was sent to the prosecutors.
"'A' turned her [position as a] public figure into a weak point to threaten and ask for money, which we hope won't happen again, and we entreat you to refrain from reports that have nonsensical content or groundless facts to this matter or reports that violate her private life so that Lee Yu Bi, who probably had the hardest time mentally than anybody else, will be hurt no longer."
