There are a ton of Chuseok specials that aired today, including MBC's 'Great Inheritance,' which shows San E spending time with his father. Although it seemed like a sweet family get-together, San E unveiled his deep thoughts on TV, revealing that he had a hard time in the past due to his father and mother's quarrels.
He said, "When I was young, I really hated my father. His eyes changed when he drank. In my eyes, my father seemed like he would drink and become violent."
His father then relayed, "I am very sorry to you guys. I would try doing public work and automobile work, but I saw a lot of damage. I was unable to even buy you guys a slice of the pizza you liked. I wouldn't be able to eat and would just [return home] after drinking.
"I did not see anything. We needed to resolve things through conversation, but I resolved things in my own way, so problems arose. I was embarrassed to talk to anyone about myself." As he talked about the hard time he had and his feelings of remorse, San E was unable to hide his upset feelings.
