Roy Kim
It feels like just yesterday, but it's already been two years since the release of Roy Kim's popular song "Spring Spring Spring". The track was met with positive response, but several accusations of plagiarism were brought up, with one composer even filing a lawsuit against the singer last year.

Composer Kim Hyung Yong filed a suit against the singer in 2014, claiming that Roy Kim plagiarized his song "From the Landscape of the Lord". Roy Kim denied plagiarizing any of his work, and now after a long lawsuit, the court has decided in his favor.

The court determined that although there are similarities between the songs, they are not identical, and that other parts of the songs are different from each other. In addition Kim Hyung Yong was not able to provide sufficient evidence about when exactly his song was recorded and composed. And since the song had not even been publicly released, the court ruled that it would have been hard for Roy Kim to have come across it.
