On the recent airing of Olive TV's 'MAPS,' Girls' Generation's Yuri opened up about her true feelings regarding being a celebrity, shedding tears during a discussion with actress Choi Kang Hee.
The older actress stated, "I'm famous for always being shy of strangers, so didn't I stick to Yuri when I got scared? I can't express myself well through words. There were a lot of feelings," in regards to how the two got closer.
Yuri added, "I was also scared, but since you linked arms with me, I felt warm. I was very scared, but I think it was a relief, having somebody who felt the same way as I."
Yuri then shed tears after they entered the dorm as she recalled feeling helpless due to her inability to read maps or drive. Choi Kang Hee asked, "Do you normally cry a lot?" and Yuri replied, "I don't usually cry, even more so in front of people. I didn't even cry when Girls' Generation won the Daesang (grand prize). All the members cried. I feel like a fool right now."
Choi Kang Hee reassured her with, "This means you're innocent," and Yuri said, "I really feel like I had lived a bit busily. I think that was hard. It made me think that my personality and the characteristics of a celebrity career did not go well together."
Choi Kang Hee continued consoling her with, "I was like that for 20 years. There is a time period like that. A time where I did not know who I was. In the past, I was scared so I'd avoid it, but now, it's a bit embarrassing, even a bit weird, and I've started having fun digging into it."
What words of consolation would you like to give to Yuri?
