On the July 3 broadcast of 'Sketchbook' the rap mogul confessed that he actually had an impoverished past. He told Yoo Hee Yeol, "When I was young our house went into foreclosure. We were dirt broke so that's why I started working to make money. But I didn't save up [money] for ten years. I became even poorer."
Fortunately, Dok2's story has a happy ending, as now he's richer than he could have ever imagined--or so he likes to say. He continued, "As time passed, I made income by making songs for Epik High and Dynamic Duo, and was able to save up more money as I gradually gained recognition."
Dok2 further bragged, "Now I have a lot of money [from diligently saving up]." Yoo Hee Yeol warned, "People are going to give you hate for that." However, Dok2 seemed unconcerned as he told the MC, "It's money I earned from working hard so I pay no mind to what people say."
With a Rolex watch on each wrist, Dok2 isn't shy when it comes to flaunting his newfound wealth.
