Workers of a certain daycare center in Jeju City were booked for detention by Jeju Provincial Police Agency under suspicions of child abuse.

The suspects include A, 22-year-old female worker at the daycare, three of the daycare's teachers, and the director, a 63-year-old man who has been identified as B.The three teachers were suspected for physically abusing and harming the children by slapping their faces and hurling them numerous times for a period starting from the end of May to the beginning of June. The director, B, is under suspicion of being unable to prevent the abuse and for the negligent supervision of his workers.

The police were able to affirm the daycare teachers' physical abuse through looking through the CCTV footage, which were removed during the process of the daycare's permanent closure.
