During patient Jang Mo's stay last month at Pyongtaek St. Mary's Hospital, it was discovered that she had contracted the potentially fatal disease, leading to her transferral to Dongguk University Hospital. After receiving treatment there in the isolation ward and a full recovery, the 79-year-old was discharged.

A patient with dementia would have difficulties communicating and relaying information on their symptoms and health, decreasing their chances of survival and recovery. However, the medical team was able to properly diagnose her with MERS, allowing for the effective treatment that ultimately saved her life.
Her family and loved ones are overjoyed to see her discharged, especially with her age and condition.
So far, the number of people released after contracting MERS has increased to 50 people.
