Who Wore It Better: Ha Ji Won vs. YoonA

Here's another 'Who Wore It Better,' this time featuring Girls' Generation's YoonA and actress Ha Ji Won! The two were seen wearing a sky blue knit sweater with a lacy, black top part from 'Number 21' worth 1.18 million KRW (~ 1,100 USD). The former was seen at the airport on April 27, coming back from a Japanese fan meeting. The latter was seen wearing this on her way to France in the same month.

Now this was a total toss up for me. Both ladies knew how to use this sweater as the point for an outfit that flatters their unique body type and style, so they looked vastly different, yet good at the same time. I like certain parts of each lady's outfit and dislike other parts.

YoonA is known for her girly, slim body, so she utilizes this to emphasize her childlike charm, matching the sweater with a simple, straight, black skirt and small, black cross-over bag. She looks lovely, casual, and feminine, even leaving her hair down in natural-looking curls for perfection.

On the other hand, Ha Ji Won is lean and has more presence with a natural charisma, and she went for a different style to complement her own mature charms. She goes for a mannish, laid-back beach concept by opting for all blue and long, wide pants. She completes the look with a white purse and highly reflective sunglasses that give her an overall very casual yet chic look that accentuates her strong, womanly charms.

Both ladies opted for simple accessories and they look good. However, I'm not sure about the choice of shoes for either lady. YoonA went for cumbersome looking shiny black loafers that look too big for her thin frame. Also, her outfit has too much black in it that takes away from the lovely sky blue color of the sweater. Ha Ji Won ends her casual look with pointed silver heels that seem a bit random and gauche for the rest of the simple outfit.

In conclusion, though, I would pick Ha Ji Won's outfit by a thin margin. She is owning the outfit, looking confident and relaxed. The beautiful use of blue to lighten up her image was tastefully done (although some may think it was overdone) and everything is put together very well in a way that's easy on the eyes, especially for the bright and warm spring time.
