SHINee's Jonghyun asks everyone on his birthday to remember the victims of the Sewol ferry incident

Although it was SHINeeJonghyun's birthday on April 8, he kindly diverted attention to the victims of the Sewol ferry incident who lost their lives almost a year ago on April 16, 2014 in a tragic accident that shook the nation.
He tweeted in three separate posts, "Lots of people told me happy birthday. Thank you. I think sharing a situation, no matter what the situation, is something to be grateful for. With that in mind, I have something I want to say. I wish that you will not forget every person involved in the Sewol ferry incident. Among the students of Danwon High School, there were friends who had the same birthday as me.
"Ms. Park Ji Yoon and Mr. Kim Gun Woo were born on April 8. I'm one day late, but... if you send a free text to #1111, it will be displayed on the electronic scoreboard at the Ansan group memorial altar. Please remember the children.
"I never exchanged a single word with them nor have I seen them with my own eyes, but my heart is still numb and weak. They were children who breathed the same air as we. You must not forget them. At least for those children. Or for the children who remain. Or for the future."
Almost a year has passed, but the tragedy remains as haunting as ever. Happy birthday to Park Ji Yoon and Kim Gun Woo, and our condolences to their families.
