A new controversy is brewing concerning a recent statement by Lovelyz' Ryu Soo Jung, who is under Woollim Entertainment which had merged with SM C&C, on radio program, 'ShimShimTapa,' when SHINee's Jonghyun made a surprise visit and was telling the people in the studio to visit SM Entertainment's practice rooms and explaining the location.
At the 1:04 mark in the video below, you can hear Ryu Soo Jung interrupt Jonghyun to add, "I'm from SM, too," possibly to merely state to Jonghyun she likewise knew about the practice rooms. He responds, "Yes, yes, I know. I know that."

Jung Joon Young asks, "Lovelyz is in SM?" She clarifies, "Ah, from C&C," to make sure there is no confusion.
For some reason, though, this has quickly become a topic of interest as someone from Instiz first brings it up, saying she randomly inserted the line openly and like she was bragging, resulting in "a taken aback Jonghyun."
However, this controversy so far appears to be very half-and-half as some people show understanding about why this could be an issue yet ask if it's really such a big deal, some are frustrated about her "need" to affiliate herself with SM, and others say she's technically correct, so there's no problem with her statement.
This is not the first time, either, as INFINITE fans had previously expressed some doubts and negativity about agency Woollim Entertainment's merger with SM C&C, leading the members to tear up and address the issue before their fans.
Netizen responses include, "It's true that it was a bit thoughtless, but I don't think it's that big a wrongdoing..?" "I feel like she would have been aware that it was a sensitive problem..." and, "Isn't it just something she said? It's not wrong and I feel like she brought it up because she just wanted to find a common ground... Is she being cursed at by any chance? I feel bad for her... TT." Some wrote that she should've said she came from Woollim, not SM.
