On the 20th, the investigators of the Seoul Eastern District Court declared him cleared of all of his drug related charges. On his methamphetamine and Ecstasy charges, the court said, "For Supreme Court cases where there isnt enough objective evidence, it is the law that the buyers' testimony can be evidece. However, Mr. Song and Mr. Bae's testimony kept changing and did not match up with each other, and their testimonies are not beilevable. There is nothing to say he is gulity."

On taking Ecstasy, he said, "Even though all the witnesses said he took the drug, they have not actually seen him take the drug, and there is no objective evidence to say he really did take it. The evidence is also ambiguous because it was so long ago, so we decided that it would be pushing it to charge him as guilty."
