Sex icons of K-Pop are admired for their sexiness, but they are also often criticized when netizens believe they are pushing the boundary. After the March 26 broadcast of Ga In's "Paradise Lost" performance on 'M! Countdown,' netizens commented their opinions, most of which were negative.
Netizens are currently flocking to a trending article titled, "Ga In's see-through clothes that reveal an unrivaled sexiness," to express their disdain for Ga In's concept. Although the article praises Ga In for being sexy, a majority of netizens commented that she went too far and is supposedly wasting her talent.
Top comments include: "After doing the sexy concept thoroughly, if only she returned to working on making good music.... She's from Brown Eyed Girls, a girl group with good songs and good tone, yet why does she keep stripping? She should stop.... Her sexy concepts should be just as sexual as that of 'Abracadabra,' not more," "The song is good but the concept doesn't suit Ga In. Ga In has a small, cute, and sexy image, but because she's acting so lethally sexy, it's awkward for people who watch her," "Ga In is the best at cleaning floors [with her body]," "Why is she being pathetic like this... just come back with a Brown Eyed Girl's album!" and, "Isn't she 30 now? There are a lot of younger and prettier kids now; please just sing instead of doing these concepts. What you sang before with Jo Kwon suited you a lot more."
What do you guys think? Personally, I'm a fan of "Paradise Lost" as a song and I find Ga In's sexual moves to be more artistic than sexy. However, I'm not surprised that it's not being well-received by the public. Heck, even HyunA got flack for wearing super short shorts. Korean netizen standards are pretty conservative, although they don't have to be so harsh with their comments.
