Lee Hyori talked about arguing with her husband Lee Sang Soon because of personality differences on Son Mina's vacation podcast on February 16, recalling a specific time when they visited Hawaii together.
Lee Hyori said, "If I go to the beach, I need to go into the water. I enjoy swimming. However, when Lee Sang Soon goes to the beach, all he does is lie down on the sand. I wonder why he doesn't go into the ocean."
She explained, "When we were dating, we went to Hawaii. I wanted us to play together, but Lee Sang Soon only lied down and listened to music or read a book. I asked him to play with me, but he said he was fine the way he was right now, so we fought. Now, we understand each other. I say, 'I'll be back,' and go play by myself."

Son Mina asked, "What's a good method to sensibly resolve an issue of differences between a couple?" Lee Hyori responded, "I'm not sure about a sensible method. I just thought that since he was somebody I loved, I should understand him and leave him alone to do what makes him happy. I'm the type that finds something I can do for fun alone rather than force someone else to do something together."
