Please don't hate anyone, except for me. That's my answer.
Disregarding the reason for the exit, 'I Am A Singer' is a program that let singers perform under one of the best conditions. For a program that micro-managed everything, in order to create a place where singers can focus solely in singing, to be disparaged because of my personal issues isn't right. I applaud them and my fellow singers for being one of the few stages where singers can sing.
I am so sorry for making you worry. I just want to sing, that's it. Honestly, I just wanted to show me singing. I don't want to be some junk food-like stage that you curse at while secretly looking for it. It's nothing special, but I just wanted to be like a warm homemade meal. It's a shame that I wasn't able to do this, but this is also baggage that I have to carry with me. Which is also why I wanted to solve this on my own.
And because this was a big step, there are going to be some changes, but the one thing that won't change is the fact that the song will go on and so will life. I am sorry for making you worry, for the things I've done in the past, and for the things that have now become a fact because of some people's imaginations. I am so sorry.
I didn't think that I would be saying this again, but I will work hard to live on rather than just living.
Thank you, for listening to my music. See you soon."
As mentioned before, Lee Soo received much backlash when he was announced as one of the contestants of the singing program. Viewers criticized the broadcast station's decision to allow a singer, who had been previously embroiled in a scandal for paying for sex with a girl that turned out to be a minor, on the program. In response, MBC suddenly droppped Lee Soo from the lineup, even though they had already held one filming session with him.
