SHINee's solo artist Jonghyun dropped by KBS 2TV's 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook' on January 24 for awesome performances as well as an entertaining talk session.
On this day, Yoo Hee Yeol brought up IU, saying, "You composed and wrote the lyrics for IU's 'Gloomy Clock,' right?" He replied, "It's something I scribbled at night because I originally wanted to put it in my album. I wondered how I should arrange it, so I sent IU mail, but IU asked me to give her the song for her album. It had only been three hours since its completion, but I sold it immediately. If IU says she's going to buy it, you sell it no matter what. Thankfully, it became a good connection."
Yoo Hee Yeol said on detective mode, "While listening to this, more important than how the song went back and forth is that you wrote the song at night and three hours later, you gave her the song, so does that mean you guys are on the terms to contact each other at daybreak?" As the audience laughed and went "Ooh," Jonghyun wasn't too taken aback and replied, "I started writing it at dawn and sent her it in the afternoon."
In addition, he performed various songs, such as an acoustic version of SHINee's "Juliette," his solo track "Crazy," and IU's track "Gloomy Clock."
