According to SM Entertainment, they were notified by Oricon on the 23rd that TVXQ had once again clinched the top spot with their Japanese album 'WITH' on the new Weekly Album Chart being released. This means that TVXQ has done it again - they've set another new record! As they've now had 4 consecutive full albums rank at #1 on the weekly chart since 2011, they've broken the record for a foreign artist set by Bon Jovi with 3 consecutive albums at #1.
If taking into account their best-of album released back in 2010, then this means a total of 5 albums at #1 on the weekly chart, and that ties the record by a foreign artist set by Simon & Garfunkel and Bon Jovi.
Their fellow SM group, Super Junior also showcased their popularity by dominating the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart with 'MAMACITA-AYAYA'. This is their first #1 on the weekly chart and their first single since 'Blue World' back a year ago.
