Yoon Kye Sang opened up by saying, "I think there was a misunderstanding that my main focus was on acting over g.o.d. At a time when there was such misunderstanding and confusion, I should have provided an explanation but I thought if I were to do so, then I would be airing out the internal dispute that the g.o.d members had to the public."
After Yoon Kye Sang's withdrawal from the group, the media had reported that Yoon Kye Sang had given up on g.o.d in order to pursue his career as an actor. However, he later explained that he had planned on giving up his career as a celebrity in its entirety. A year after the withdrawal in 2004, the four members stood on stage without Yoon Kye Sang.
Danny Ahn stated, "All our members are really stubborn. When we heard what Yoon Kye Sang had to say, I thought that there was nothing else we could have done."
Yoon Kye Sang then responded by saying that back when he was young, he was indeed stubborn, stating that he believed that there was nothing more to say especially when the members who were like brothers had doubted him.

The eldest of the group, Park Joon Hyung spoke from a more motherly point of view and said, "It wasn't betrayal, but my heart was aching. I wasn't sure why my younger brother was doing this."
However, Kim Tae Woo revealed that he had felt betrayed and even had impulsive thoughts such as giving up his career as a singer. He said, "It was the saddest moment in my whole life. I cried a lot, I cried for almost a week. And because of this betrayal, I wasn't going to continue as a singer."
Son Ho Young also added his side of despair at the time and expressed, "It was as if I had divorced my wife. We were a family, and we had a child. But (it was as if) he left us all saying, 'Sorry, I have my own life to live. I can't live like this.'"
Meanwhile, to their fans' joy, g.o.d made their comeback as 5-member group once again. They recently wrapped up their tour in Seoul as well as their first ever concert in the States, 'g.o.d 15th Anniversary Reunion Concert,' meeting their fans overseas for the first time.
