As mentioned before, the entertainer had gotten his blood drawn instead of taking the breathalyzer test. Since then, a media outlet reported that Noh Hong Chul had shown police resistance, and with him refusing the breathalyzer by pushing it away, the police had no choice but to demand that he draw blood for a blood test.

When the police was asked about the matter, they revealed that although Noh Hong Chul did refuse once, because it is policy that the individual has to refuse 3 times before the police consider it to be an act of resisting, Noh Hong Chul would not be receiving any punishment for that matter.

Noh Hong Chul spoke up about all this himself on the 14th, writing on Twitter,

"This is Noh Hong Chul.

First off, I want to once again apologize for causing concern for many due to my immature actions.

I'm in a position right now in which I really should have nothing to say even if I had more than one mouth. However, because I'm not officially signed with an agency [who could answer questions from the press] and find it difficult to offer an answer to each reporter that contacts me, I'm taking the courage to write this.

On the 13th, a report came out that suggested I 'aggressively resisted getting a breathalyzer test, and was forced to take a blood test due to police demand'.

Although it is true I hesitated slightly because I was suddenly thrust into the situation, but because I knew that I had committed wrongdoings like drinking and driving, I obediently followed the directions from the police. Also, it is unthinkable that I had any sort of altercation with the police by pushing the breathalyzer away with my hands and aggressively turning down the test.

The reason why I came to take the blood test rather than the breathalyzer was because I had made the decision to take that method, along with my manager who arrived at the scene, after listening to the explanation from the police about the various methods to test my BAC.

This occurrence is solely my fault and I am reflecting about my actions. Also, from here on, no matter what punishment I may be given, I will accept it without making excuses or denying.

I want to once again apologize for causing everyone disappointment."

As mentioned before, Noh Hong Chul was caught when he was driving down a road and turned right onto a street during a random drunk driving check being conducted by the police. His blood test result has since been revealed to show that his B.A.C was over 0.1%, which is enough to have his license revoked.
