After the departure of the adorable Rubber Duck, which is no longer floating on Korean waters, a parade of Pikachu's have made their way into the country and are being featured at Seoul's Dongdaemun Plaza (DDP). Pokemasters of Korea are excited, to the point of overcrowding the DDP area.

On November 15, DDP launched their 'Pikachu Showtime' event. The event ended on the 16th and featured four performances per day. Each performance featured around ten Pikachus bouncing in single file and greeting their adoring fans. However, because a crowd larger than expected had shown up, with people trampling the Yugu Exhibition Center, the DDP had to unfortunately cancel some of the scheduled shows.

The DDP announced, "Due to police concerns that the large crowd may lead to a stampede accident, we will cancel the 3 PM and 5 PM event times and only do the 2PM and 4 PM events today."

The 'Pikachu Showtime' event was first hosted in Yokohama, Japan during the summer from August 9th until the 17th. It was on a much grander scale, as it featured 1,000 walking Pikachus celebrating the opening of the Pokemon theater.

Behold, a Pokemaster's dream come true:

There were some netizens who reacted negatively to the overcrowding issue, noting that because of people's interest in Pikachu, a popular Korean landmark was trampled. Top comments include: "Priorities... trampling a historic site in order to see Pikachu" and "I mean why of all things do we have [an exhibit] of the Japanese character Pikachu when our nation has a lot of good characters too.
