On September 6, Joo Won revealed that he was not so popular in school and commented on his bowl-shaped haircut during an ultimate fashion king contest that was held in Seoul DDP Square to promote his upcoming movie, 'Fashion King'.
The actor said, "I wasn't very popular when I was in school. I was just a plain student, so I was able to relate more to the ordinary aspects of Woo Ki Myung. There was a time when I cared about my fashion style to impress the girl I liked as well."�

Joo Won also revealed his thoughts on the bowl-shaped haircut that he had to pull off for the movie. He said, "I've always wanted to have a bowl haircut. When I was 21, I cut my hair like that, and someone said that I looked like Woo Ki Myung. That's when I was first introduced to the webtoon 'Fashion King'."
Meanwhile, Joo Won will be taking on the role as Woo Ki Myung, a "bread-shuttle" boy who dreams of becoming an absolute fashion king.
