On the July 22 edition of SBS's 'Magic Eye,' Lee Hyori wisely stated that it was okay for a man to not have money as long as he had no inferiority complex about it.
She said, "In the past, I dated men who had no money, but the reason it never worked out was because they had such an inferiority complex about making less than I did. It could be just a small threaded bracelet that a woman would want, but they'd say, 'Hey, you have a lot of money, so why don't you buy it.' I felt that inferiority complex from them and they kept trying to whittle me down, which caused trouble so we ended up breaking up. But with [my husband] Lee Sang Soon, he has absolutely no inferiority complex about earning less."

Hong Jin Kyung said maybe this was because he was such a talented guitarist that he could make money anytime he wanted to which Lee Hyori agreed, then added, "But I noticed he doesn't earn any," making everybody laugh.
