When asked about his nickname as 'Hyun Bin's doppelganger', Seo Kang Jun humbly clarified the misunderstanding, "It's not the [actor] Hyun Bin. I'm Park Hyun Bin's doppelganger... I heard that I look like him when I smile."

He also talked about his image as the 'flower fool' on 'Roommate', "It's not a concept. It's the way I see, feel, do, and say things so it's not a concept but I hope to show a variety of images."

Seo Kang Jun also shared his goals as an actor, "After I age and enter my thirties and forties, I want to earn the title as 'the nation's oppa'... Like Park Geun Hyung sunsengnim, even as I get older, I want to put all my strength into acting and consistently continue to do it."
