App developer behind the platform source of fabricated reports about Trouble Maker apologizes

The CEO of the app development company JI2SOFT,�which maintains the 'I Am A Reporter Too' app that netizen perpetrators used to fabricate the pregnancy reports about�Trouble Maker, released an official apology for being the unintentional source of the false reports.

JI2SOFT CEO Kim Dae Won stated through�Maeil Kyungjae, "I merely thought of the app as one of many parody apps, but rather than sharing article links, the users shared captured photos, making it difficult to discern the truth and subsequently escalating the controversy.

"The majority of users write joke articles with good intentions, but a few people sometimes turn slanderous content into a parody, so there are some regrettable aspects ... To prevent future victims, we will either attach a fake report warning or stress that it is clearly different from a real article."

Meanwhile, Cube Entertainment plans to take legal action against the perpetrators behind the spread of the malicious rumors and a police investigation is currently underway.
