Solo singer IUrevealed the story behind how she ended up collaborating with SHINee's Jonghyun.

On November 6th's 'Weekly Idol', IU discussed working with Jonghyun for her latest album, 'Modern Times'. The two idols sang the duet "Gloomy Clock", which was both written and composed by Jonghyun himself.
IU said, "I listened to Jonghyun's 'Gloomy Clock', and I liked it so much that I asked him personally to sell it to me." Host Jung Hyung Donquestioned her for the price, but she replied, "I can't reveal the number."
She added, "At the time, Jonghyun was cool about it and said that I didn't have to pay. He was really cool." Jung Hyung Don then stared at the camera, saying, "Jonghyun, give me a song too."
