A-PRINCE is an idol boy group that is very popular in Southeast Asia and Japan so understandably, they do a lot of international activities. According to A-PRINCE's agency, one of the group's staff members was a Filipino man named Miguel who was responsible for their overseas promotions.
However, the Typhoon Haiyan claimed over 10,000 lives in the Philippines and it was revealed that his aunt was one of the victims. Miguel has a close-knit family in the Philippines and his aunt had been like a mother to him. As Miguel was like family to A-PRINCE, the boys likewise joined in on his suffering and decided to support him and the Philippines.
A-PRINCE will take part in a fundraising event called 'Sing for the Philippines' that will be hosted by the Filipino Scholars in Korea on November 15 in Myeong-dong.
They said, "We will take part in this fundraising campaign to help the victims who suffered from the damages of the typhoon in any way possible . . . We hope for a lot of interest and participation."
The money will go to the Philippine Red Cross and Association of Social and Health Development Advocates. If you would like to donate and help the typhoon victims in the Philippines, you can do so at the Philippines Red Cross.
