As ambassadors of the international children's charity organization 'Plan Korea', Girl's Day visited young girls who are forced into child marriage during their 5 days and 4 nights of charity work from August 26-30. They got the chance to talk with a young girl who was abandoned by her husband and left alone to take care of her 1-year-old son.
They brought happiness to her by holding a family portrait taking session and taking her to the hospital for her first checkup. Girl's Day were also inspired by the value of education after meeting the girls, who are pursuing schooling for their dreams.
Girl's Day shared, "After personally seeing how gloomy the lives of children who have to raise their children on their own, we feel sad that these things happen. It was a time for us to reflect on ourselves. At an age when people should dream and plan their future, being forced to have an early marriage is such a cruel reality. Although we came to conduct charity work, we gained something more valuable from them. We also realized that there are a lot more things that we need to do. Thank you for the opportunity."
