Lee Seung Gi and Suzy open up about their chemistry

Lee Seung Gi and miss A's Suzy left fans in joy or in fury over their steamy kiss scene on 'Book of the House of Gu' and admitted that their chemistry was what made their romance believable.

During an interview, the reporter commented, "Your kiss scene was strong." Suzy agreed, "I didn't know it would come off so strong... At first, I didn't know up to what extent to do it. The script only noted a 'kiss scene,' but the director told us how far we should go on set."

"I just did it with the expectation that it could go either way. I think just a peck on the lips would've been fine and even if it comes off strong, it would be neither here nor there. The director could have different thoughts on the matter, so a lot of different advice was shared on set."

"In the end, the director decided on what we ended up with, so I worked hard at it. Honestly, we didn't have a lot of NGs. But since we filmed it at so many angles, we ended up repeating the same scene a lot... We didn't talk much prior to the kiss scene. We met and just asked each other, 'How far are you thinking of going?' and our conversation flowed like that. The situation after the kiss scene wasn't so romantic."

Lee Seung Gi shared, "The way director Shin Woo Chul carries out a love scene, he doesn't give much leeway. He makes it so we can't ask 'Did it come off too strong?' During the rehearsal, he said, 'Just try it once,' and he's just like that. I did my best to act without any self-restraint."

Lee Seung Gi also admitted that he and Suzy share an unbeatable chemistry, saying, "I agree. More than anything else, I think I can act with her more freely because Suzy is my hoobae. I can talk with her more and was able to act more natural with her."

"It's not good for actors to be too careful around each other. You have to do a melodrama, but if you're too careful on every little thing. If I think 'Should I say this,' I hesitate because I would come across as a weird person, so I end up not communicating with my counterpart."

"Conversations like, 'I think this way, but what do you think?' made me able to act natural with Suzy. I was able to express myself more freely with her. I would probably get in trouble by Suzy's fans again for saying this."
