John was born and raised in the United States and on the July 5 broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Full House', he was asked about some of the differences between Korea and the United States. When asked, "What is the difference between Korean and foreign women?" John Park revealed, "To be honest, I've never dated a Korean woman. I've dated a Korean-American in the past. But I've never dated a woman who was born and raised here in Korea. From my experience, women who were raised overseas have a lot of pride and don't easily depend on men", possibly implying that he likes independent women.
