The forerunners in the K-Pop industry today have made extraordinary leaps and bounds. So much so that now, it's no longer a matter of whether or not a dance is catchy. Oftentimes, it's more likely a matter of how long it takes before you start to unconsciously memorize the steps. 

Nowadays, the caliber of korean idols is nearly unparalleled. Accompany the raw talent with extraordinary visuals and fresh concepts, and it's no wonder some of these groups receive the recognition that they do. 

More often than not, we're always so blown away by the new choreography in some of these dances. And can we really blame ourselves? I mean, mix the background sets - whether it be MV or live sets - with some quirky costumes and that's enough keep us fascinated for hours. 

But let's be honest for one second - do you ever feel as though K-Pop can sometimes become, repetitive? Well, just a tiny bit. 

We revisited some of the more iconic K-pop dances, and the similarities we found were uncanny. 

Don't take this the wrong way - surely, each group has its own nuance and flair. But sometimes, especially with the influx of K-pop groups recently, it gets quite easy to stay on track by keeping tabs on their choreographies. 

But hey, when it's all said and done, here's some of the more popular genres of dance we found! 

The Butt Wipe dance - it seems to be quite the staple among girl groups. And for the fanboys out there, you're welcome. But wouldn't it be quite the breath of fresh air seeing a boy group pull off such a classic move?   

?The "Feed us, we're hungry"dance ?- Yeah it's cute in its own way. Very endearing. 

?The Holier-than-thou dance - When done correctly, it can be extremely belittling to onlookers. Bonus points given if you can arch an eyebrow.  

?The Ain't nobody got time for that dance - This must be executed with purpose and urgency. Gives off the impression that you're diligent and busy.  

?The Pelvic Thrust dance - When done by the wrong artist, it can leave you with emotional scars. But thankfully, for our viewing pleasure, it's done right most of the time.  

?Then, sometimes, there are the dances that make our beloved idols look straight up weird. But that's fine, because we still love them anyway!
