IU's 'uncle fans' have stepped up to help out elderly people who live alone.
Funding company Incujector revealed, "We've handed over 600,000 won (~565 USD) to the Korea Love Volunteer Association. [The money] was raised by 26 of IU's fans during a 2-week project for the elderly who live alone."
IU's fans decided to donate to the cause after her recent selca scandal involving Super Junior's Eunhyuk surfaced online.
One fan stated, "It's a small sum of money, but seeing the people over at the volunteer association thank us sincerely made me proud and happy. I'm thankful and happy when I see IU actively promoting despite being hurt [by recent events as well]."
