'My Daughter Seoyoung' has put a hold on filming as the cast have not been paid for the past 10 episodes.
On the 18th, the Korea Broadcasting Actors Union took over the set of 'My Daughter Seoyoung' because the actors had not been paid yet, forcing the production company to halt the filming. According to the Korea Broadcasting Actors Union, the production company, HB Entertainment, has promised to pay its actors, which include idols CNBLUE's Jungshin and AOA's Seolhyun, by December 10th, but has yet to pay the actors for their appearance from episode 14 to 24.
The filming was paused for the episodes that would have been broadcast for the 22nd and 23rd, so if the problem continues there is a chance that the show will not be able to air new episodes. To this, KBS said, "The problem with the pay lies with the outside production companies. However, we will do our best to keep broadcasting on the regular dates. Even if we have to change the filming set up, we will make sure that it does not harm the broadcast."
This is not the first show that had to halt its filming recently, for 'The Great Seer' also had problems with their foreign production company, which did not issue out pay to the staff and actors on a timely manner.
