'Wolf Boy' has officially become the most popular Korean romance movie.
The movie brought in 334,443 viewers on the 18th, pushing the total count of viewers to 5,093,491 and reaching far past the previous record holder, 'Introduction to Architecture', which pulled in a little over 4.1 million viewers.
Moreover, it ranks at #3 in terms of Korean movies released this year behind 'The Thieves' and 'Masquerade', both of which brought in more than 10 million views. Because many viewers are still watching 'Wolf Boy', fans are anticipating even better results in the near future.
The current #2 in the box office goes to Hollywood's 'Breaking Dawn Part 2', which brought in 1,080,756 total viewers, while at #3 is 'I Am the Killer' with a total viewer count of 1,538,341. Jaejoong's 'Code Name Jackal' has sold 37,599 tickets so far.
To celebrate reaching 5 million moviegoers, actors Song Joong Ki, Park Bo Young, and Yoo Yeon Seok posed for a photo. Yoo Yeon Seok tweeted, "We got excited at 5 million so!!! Here's a [photo] hehehe."
