K-Pop rock band CNBLUE shared their thoughts on enlisting in the Korean military.
CNBLUE had their very first independent talk show appearance on tvN's 'Baek Ji Yeons People Inside', and it was here that the boys who are now in their early 20's talked about growing older, and shared their thoughts on serving in the Korean military.
"We looked into it, and it turns out that you can enlist as a band," the boys said. "If possible, we would like to go together."
They added, "Because we're a band, it's hard even if one person is missing. If we enlist altogether, we can hold a performance as soon as we are discharged."
In addition to doing music, the boys are also trying their hand at acting. Lee Jonghyun officially began walking the path of an actor through his role in the recently concluded drama, 'Gentlemen's Dignity'. Jonghyun, however, hesitated accepting the role at first because of his dialect.
But leader Jung Yonghwa who sensed his hesitation challenged Jonghyun by telling him, "Then don't do it. If you don't, I'm going to tell the agency so that I can do it instead."
Jonghyun admitted that Yonghwa came on strong, and was extremely straightforward. "He told me that I would regret it for the rest of my life, so I should do whatever I wanted," he said.
The boys also talked about the events that led up to their debut, their Japanese promotions, and also about their upcoming debut in the UK.
Their story continues on September 7th at 7PM KST!
