The star of our latest Coffee Break segment, Psy, will be releasing a new version of his explosive hit song "Gangnam Style". The new version of the song will be titled "Oppa, You're My Style" and it's video will be released on August 15th.
It has been revealed that "Oppa, You're My Style" was in the works at the same time as the "Gangnam Style" music video production. The song will reinterpret "Gangnam Style" from the woman's perspective. Therefore, the female star of the former music video 4Minute's HyunA will be the main character of the new version.
Psy hopes to continue his international "Gangnam Style" sensation with the release of the "Oppa, You're My Style" music video.
Psy's representative stated,
"Psy's 'Gangnam Style' became enjoyable worldwide with its horse dance, comic cameos, and Psy's sly comic acting. You can anticipate how the song will revive with 'Oppa, You're My Style'."
CNN, LA Times, & the Wall Street Journal are among the many foreign news sources that made note of Gangnam Style's skyrocketing popularity. Psy's solo concert, which was held on August 11th, sold out all 30,000 tickets in an instant, confirming the 'Psy Syndrome' that has swept the nation.
Meanwhile, "Gangnam Style" has continued to claim the number 1 spot on music charts for 5 weeks, making it the longest running hit of the year.
