Hip hop group MIB is garnering attention as a new strong force in the Hallyu movement.
On June 16th and 17th, MIB will be attending the 'LOVE-1 FESTIVAL' scheduled to take place at the Osaka Castle in Japan, performing their new hit song "Only Hard For Me" along with their debut track, "G.D.M".
This is the second annual 'LOVE-1 Festival' to be held after last year, and the themes for the event are 'Bond of Asia', 'Symbiosis with the Natural Environment', and 'Charity Work You Can See'.
The festival will feature different events which incorporate music, sports, and more, and the 'LOVE-1 FESTIVAL' which concluded successfully last year with over 20,000 audience members is receiving attention as a large-scale event effectively being used as a cultural exchange between Korea and Japan.
For this event, MIB will be standing side by side with other major Hallyu artists such as KARA, 2PM, CNBLUE, LeeSSang, and more, proving that they have already carved their niche in the Hallyu wave and built a strong fan base in Japan less than a year after making their debut. In a market where idol dance music is the mainsteam, MIB has grabbed the attention of the public by boldly attempting to go in a different direction, showcasing true Korean hip hop music.
MIB received an explosive response from fans all the world upon debut, as fan cafés were created immediately in 13 different countries including the US, France, Brazil, Japan, Thailand, and more. Riding on this fame, the boys were invited to represent Korean artists and perform at 'Music Matters 2012' in Singapore last month. Earlier on in the year, the members also performed with world-famous musician will.i.am and were invited as special guests to perform with Far*East Movement.
In related news, MIB recently kicked off their comeback with their new hit song, "Only Hard For Me".
