Lee Woo Gon of vocal group Tritops is drawing attention for revealing that he has already completed his compulsory military service, following in the footsteps of Lee Jung and 2AM's Changmin, and earning him the nickname "military veteran idol".
Lee Woo Gon revealed that he served as an active duty soldier in the Korean Navy for his military service, which means he joins 2AM's Changmin as one of the few idols who completed their military service prior to debut.
Woo Gon also revealed that he was a former biomedical engineering major at Inje University, but gave up his studies to move to Seoul in order to pursue his dream of becoming a singer, where he spent many long, hard years as a trainee before finally joining Tritops.
Lee Woo Gon's hard work paid off, as he starred in Tritops' MV for their first digital single "I'm a Bad Guy" with singer Kim Sori, where they portrayed a couple who argue and fight, and eventually end up breaking up.
Tritops' single, "I'm a Bad Guy" was revealed through various online music sites on March 28th, and they officially kicked off promotions for the single on March 30th with an appearance on KBS2 TV's 'Music Bank.'
