Hit composer Shinsadong Tiger recently sat down with TV Report for an interview about his rising fame. Though he has several hits under his belt, not much is known about his personal life or views. He debuted at the age of 19, and the industry sees him as a comet that shot to fame out of nowhere. "People think I came out of nowhere but I debuted in this industry at 19. I'm young now, but that doesn't mean I don't have that much experience. In the past, the influence of the company played a big factor in the success of a singer. Now, it's the producer or composer's image that plays a bigger role." While claiming that he still lacks in a lot of aspects musically, he continued, "The songs I composed connected well with the public and the flow of the trends, which made it look successful. In the producing aspect, I'm able to pay attention to other things outside of music so I can bring in more diversity to my compositions." When asked whether he feels pressured by the nickname 'hitmaker', he responded, "Not at all, I think it's great. I feel no pressure about it, but that may be because I'm generally a positive person." On criticisms of him being 'only hot now,' he continued, "I just think to myself that I need to do well enough to surpass the time limit that people set for me. It doesn't make me feel bad or anything; I don't really care." He went on to talk about his upcoming girl group, claiming that they will have a color uniquely his own. "The music I want to do isn't anything new, but rather something the public wants to hear. I'll be bringing out songs that are for the public." Source + Photos: BNT News via Naver
