Super Junior's Leeteuk and Eunhyuk sat down with announcer Bae Hyun Jin for an interview on the June 14th broadcast of MBC's "Newsdesk." On the program, they shared their feelings about the Hallyu craze in Paris, France . When asked if they expected a successful performance and a big response, Leeteuk answered, "Even before we went to perform, there was a protest for an additional performance. Because I heard that the tickets sold out within 10 minutes, I did have my hopes up. However, when I actually experienced it, it was really beyond my imagination." Eunhyuk also explained, "Seeing them sing and dance along to Korean songs... I was really surprised that the French fans memorized the different cheers for each song." In addition, the announcer asked what the secret is to the great success of the Hallyu craze that has even stretched as far out to Europe. Leeteuk responded, "I kind of think that maybe it fell at the perfect time. I think the French fans like the music and performance that was planned with a world-wide concept and also the visuals of the artists. I also believe that we were able to have great success through the exchanges we had with fans through social networking sites." He confidently added, "I think this current unseen craze is a cultural war. If we continue to spread the Hallyu culture, then Korea will become the center of the world." Lastly, Leeteuk stated, "I think, like athletes, we are also representatives of spreading Hallyu. We will continue to work hard to further spread awareness about Korean culture."
