1TYM member Song Baek Kyung recently stated that he would shut down his Twitter page.
On January 26th, Song Baek Kyung wrote on his personal mini-hompy main page, "I am not doing Twitter anymore," revealing the fact that he will stop using the social media platform. Previously through his Twitter, the singer wrote about his experiences watching the Asia Cup games, as he wrote in Japanese, "Today's games were amazing. I hope that Japan continues to try their best and keep our East Asia pride. I feel unfair, but we should do it again." Despite the encouraging words, the 1TYM member received many anti comments, as some netizens wrote, "Don't pretend to love the country yourself" and "What does sport and history have anything to do with each other?" In response to the netizens negative response, Song Baek Kyung replied back, "I enjoyed watching the soccer games, and until the end I cheered hard for Korea, but unfortunately we lost so we could always do better in the future...With that mindset, I cheered on for the opposing team as well, and therefore said some positive words in Japanese for my friends living in Japan...Is that such a big mistake?" After those words, the 1TYM member then wrote, "I am one person who cheered and very much enjoyed watching soccer yesterday. I apologize to those who felt hurt or annoyed with my words. I will delete the tweet that caused this." Source: Newsen
