She revealed that music was like therapy and a 'quiet friend,' someone that was by her side through her difficult childhood, and when she dropped out of high school to go out to live on her own to pursue a music career. Jang stated, "When I lived on my own in a one-room, I disconnected my cell phone since my friends were all in school and I couldn't meet them anyway.� I barely spoke to anyone, and that developed to where I had trouble speaking at all.� It's helped me write better lyrics though." She also introduced her professor and new CEO of Kiwi Entertainment, Kim Hyung Seok, who praised Jang by commenting, "Most singers follow pop singers and follow their style, but Jae In has her own unique style.� She doesn't copy, and she's exceptional at interpreting and magnetizing."
