"Superstar K2" contestant Jang Jae In revealed her affection for music while revealing her day-to-day life in KBS 2TV's documentary, "Cinderella, Are You Really Lucky?"
The documentary featured Jang out in the blistering cold of Hongdae to perform her music for bystanders. Viewers were impressed with how nervous and attentive she looked in front of such a small audience, since she has experience with the glitz and glamor of performance already with her participation in "Superstar K2."
She revealed that music was like therapy and a 'quiet friend,' someone that was by her side through her difficult childhood, and when she dropped out of high school to go out to live on her own to pursue a music career.
Jang stated, "When I lived on my own in a one-room, I disconnected my cell phone since my friends were all in school and I couldn't meet them anyway. I barely spoke to anyone, and that developed to where I had trouble speaking at all. It's helped me write better lyrics though."
She also introduced her professor and new CEO of Kiwi Entertainment, Kim Hyung Seok, who praised Jang by commenting, "Most singers follow pop singers and follow their style, but Jae In has her own unique style. She doesn't copy, and she's exceptional at interpreting and magnetizing."
After the broadcast, viewers left comments such as, "I was so moved by her documentary," "She warmed up my heart," "It's so nice to see a young woman chase after her dreams," "For such a soft-hearted woman to have lived a difficult life like that.. She makes me so proud," and "I'm 39, but I'm always moved by her words."
