"I didn't know Homme's 'I was Able to Eat Well" would become my story. I'll immerse myself in work and not look back at the past". Striving to fulfill the stellar expectations attached to her meaningful stage name 'Byul' ('Star'), the artist has recently turned solo, released a mini-album, and began her official promotions on October 27th. While in the midst of the final planning stages of her comeback, Byul broke up with her three-year boyfriend, Wanted's Jeon Sang Hwan. Netizens criticized the decision harshly as an "act of marketing". The agency replied, "The old saying that 'the pear fell as the crow flew' speaks for her situation. Because her title track is a breakup song and since she recently separated from her boyfriend, allegations have been made that we are using the break-up as a 'promotional tool'. Byul said, 'I'm hurt by the people's misjudgment. I'm embarrassed by the unforeseen circumstances. Whatever happens, I'll commit my best and be judged on my singing alone.' With hardened resolve, Byul plans to start her TV and radio promotions in November, and continue with live concerts in December. Check out her track "It Hurts Today" below.
