With MC Mong immersed incontroversy over suspicions surrounding his military service, SBS's "HahaMong Show" was met with discontent by its viewers, causing many to flock to the message board for the show homepage.
After reports revealed that he dodged his service seven times, Korean citizens have been showing their hostility towards him and his lies. One viewer wrote, "I turned on the TV Sunday morning and saw MC Mong's face. It left me with a bad feeling," and "Why do we have to see his face on such a nice day?"
Others commented, "Are they trying to raise the viewer ratings for the show by using this controversy? They should've edited out the parts MC Mong appears on," and "Either MC Mong needs to leave the show or the show needs to be gotten rid of completely."
Comments were left not only on the show's message boards but on other portals as well, clearly showing the negative feelings people have towards MC Mong. "Having to watch MC Mong is frustrating and pathetic," "I hope that SBS is able to make a realistic decision," and "Are they purposely trying to piss off the viewers?"

Around 12:00pm KST, the"HahaMong" home page crashed due to the mass influx of visitors, assumed to be haters.
