DJ DOC's Lee Ha Neul ranted on Twitter a couple of days ago about the disgraceful backstage politics of Inkigayo.
He made claims that Inkigayo would not let him perform on the show if he didn't pull out of Strong Heart. He also talked about how Inkigayo sucked up to big companies by only promoting their singers. After he finished a meeting with the people from Inkigayo, he had even more to say. Check out his latest post on Twitter about this whole controversy:On the sidelines of the controversy, trouble of somebody out there, Dr. Lee, Twitter in the house! This is Woo Island! I came here to rest, with my girlfriend. I wanted to take a step back from this complicated situation and think! First, thanks to everyone who are showing me support, I know this is like challenging a rock with an egg but I wanted to take what appears to be a reckless path. Thank you to everyone from Come To Play and Invincible who did me a big favour! When I get back, I'll work until I body breaks down. Also, today, Chang Ryul and general manager from SBS met up! I was worried the most about Chang Ryul, and I must say, thank you for looking at this situation as a separate matter from the radio show that Chang Ryul is hosting! Thank you for your generosity! In return, I won't further mention what the truth is, about the whole 'package deal' situation with performing and all! But, I expect clean apologies from Inkigayo's producer and chief producer, for making me a middle-aged liar! Small generosity (Chang Ryul's radio show) and cheap kindness (Chocolate) can't cover everything, just like you can't cover the sky by just holding up your palm! People say that old way is the better way. Tearing mountains down, blocking rivers and building cities doesn't sound like development to me! Some of the problems we can't help because of the nature of music programs. However, I wish for nothing more than a clean apology and a small promise to show respect to artists, for this trouble we have right now! Newspapers and blogs seem to think that I have hidden motives for this whole revelation. To tell the truth, yes, there is one. I wish to be able to stand up in front of artists who are junior to me, not as a senior who is a senior simply because he is older, but as someone who is confident and proud. That is all I wish for. - Haneul, I'm like that .I'm more than happy that he is taking such brave actions against Inkigayo. The K-pop scene is drowned by a seemingly idol only policy these days, and other artists have absolutely no power. Lee Ha Neul is not acting up for the sole purpose of creating drama, he's trying to bring justice to the music industry, and I fully support and admire him for that.
