You'd think that Jay Park would be home in Seattle since his show with Dumbfoundead & co is next week, but apparently he's been busy having fun in Taiwan! According to a fan report posted on 2ONEDAY, Jay was spotted by some lucky fans in streets of the Shilin Night Market in Taipei, arguably the largest and most popular of Taiwan's famous night markets. A few Thai students who were studying overseas in Taipei (yes, students from Thailand studying overseas in Taiwan. Confusing, I know!) bumped into the performer completely by chance during a peruse through the fashion district. "I didn't travel here to see him, but I'm studying in Taiwan and seeing Jay here was random," the fan explained. "My friend was the one that noticed Jay. I kept staring at his face but couldn't remember his name," she recalled in her account. "Again, I was so excited that I didn't even know what to do." "[My friend] Mint daringly walked up and asked to take a photo with him since my friend and I were still in shock," she continued. "And then I stupidly asked him if he was Jaebeom and he said yes. Then I told him that we were Thai, and he said, 'Sawadekab' ('Hello' in Thai) and I was screaming inside." According to the fan report, Jaebeom was with some of his friends, so it's speculated that he was simply on vacation. Visiting night markets is actually one of my favorite things to do when I'm in Asia, and as someone who's been this particular market in the past, I can safely say that Jay is spending his time well. Taiwan is a country that comes alive at nighttime, and with its cheap & trendy fashion district and bustling area of food vendors, Shilin Night Market is one of the funnest & busiest hotspots to be at after the sun goes down. It's good to see that Jay is enjoying himself there! [gallery]
