Does Kim Yuna have a future in showbiz?

As an Olympic champion and CF magnet, Kim Yuna's the queen of both the ice and endorsement world. Recently at a press conference in Incheon International Airport, Yuna confessed her worries about her professional future. As many know, professional athletes tend to retire much earlier than people in other professions; many wrap up their careers as early as their mid-twenties. When someone asked, "Do you ever think about retirement?" Yuna confessed that she had wondered if Vancouver would be the end of her career in the past. "To be honest, I thought the Vancouver Olympics would be the end for me several years ago," she said. "But when I thought about career experiences at senior level, I thought that I could still continue." In addition, many athletic professions turn to showbiz post-"retirement", but Yuna's turned down the idea. "I have no plans to enter the entertainment business," Kim confirmed. Considering the fact that Kim Yuna's currently the biggest Korean celebrity around and one of the top two earning Olympic athletes worldwide, it may be surprising that this young lady is turning away from cashing in on her success with a showbiz career. However, the down-to-earth Kim has revealed in the past that she was actually unsettled by her popularity, and chose to move to Toronto in Canada in order to concentrate on her skating and live a relatively normal life. Considering the fact that Kim Yuna is only entering her twenties this year, she's still thinking far ahead - let's hope that we'll be seeing her for quite a while!
