In 2009, one of Korea's hottest male idol group, Super Junior, released its third album, "Sorry Sorry," in March and conquered the nation with its addictive title track, Sorry Sorry. However, one member, in particular, was noticeably absent from all of the boy band's performances. Kim Kibum set aside activities with Super Junior and concentrated on his acting career to show his sincerity of becoming an actor. While Super Junior was active in the music scene, Kibum appeared in movie "Jumunjin" (???) and the play "A Middle Nap" (??). With Kibum's progressive growth as an actor, fans grew worried that he would eventually forget about his roots in Super Junior and resign from the group altogether. Fortunately, such a thought has never crossed his mind as Kibum expressed, "I know very well that there are many fans who think I'm going to quit [Super Junior]. However, that is a baseless anxiety. Last month, I had a phone conversation with Super Junior after they won Daesang at the Golden Disk Awards. Although I was far from them physically, more than anyone, my heart was full of joy." Kibum also revealed his upcoming plans in the near future, although they still remain tentative as of now. He stated, "Firstly, I am in the process of preparing for the play and releasing the drama. Whether I will participate in the fourth album, resume solo activities, or continue acting, need to be further discussed with my company. Well, whatever is in store for Kibum this year, you will still support him... right? However, I'm not going to lie; I miss seeing a 13-member Super Junior, a 7-member 2PM, a 5-member Big Bang, and a 5-member DBSK. The male idol groups just need to circle around a bonfire, sing campfire songs, make some s'mores, and burn slave contracts, suicide petitions, and all the other problems in the world away.
