The South Korean football (soccer) team returned to the country with solemn faces after failing to win any of the three games at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and failing to make it out of the group stage. However, far from receiving welcome or gratitude for their hard work, the players found themselves pelted with 'yut,' the Korean version of toffee, by angry fans who were unable to contain their disappointment as the players stood in front of reporters and cameramen.
Why toffee, you ask? Throwing Korean toffee at people can be considered an insult suggestive of saying "get lost" and "screw you" to put it lightly. Salty mixed in with bittersweet, do you think that the fans went too far?
