On November 12, NewJeans’ agency ADOR announced, “Members Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intention to continue activities with ADOR,” revealing the two members’ return.
ADOR stated, “After careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with ADOR, the two members have decided to respect the court’s ruling and comply with their exclusive contracts.”
The agency added, “We will do our best to ensure Haerin and Hyein can continue their entertainment activities smoothly. We kindly ask fans for their warm support and politely request refraining from speculation about the members.”
After losing the first trial in the exclusive contract dispute lawsuit with ADOR on October 30, NewJeans had previously declared through their legal representatives that they had no plans to return to ADOR and intended to appeal the first-instance ruling.
However, it has been reported that Hyein’s father, the only parent among the NewJeans members who opposed terminating the contract with ADOR, persuaded his daughter and Haerin to decide to return to ADOR.
It was also revealed that Hyein’s father, who had opposed contract termination from the start, even engaged in a civil lawsuit with his wife over legal guardianship matters in order to bring his daughter back to ADOR.
Following this decision, it was reported that the other members Danielle, Minji, and Hanni also expressed their intention to rejoin ADOR.
