ATEEZ’s Yunho takes the lead in the upcoming music film ‘Back! Stage,’ which is set to premiere exclusively at CGV theaters in Korea on August 18. Shot entirely on the iPhone 16 Pro, the film unveiled its first teaser poster on July 28.
‘Back! Stage’ follows the story of Ki Seok, a former band member who gets a last-minute call to fill in as the lead vocalist for the group that once cast him out. As he rushes backstage just before the performance, an emotional journey unfolds, centered on youth, music, and personal growth.
Yunho plays Ki Seok, bringing depth to the character with his own experience as an artist. He previously made his acting debut as Yu Jin in the 2021 drama ‘Imitation,’ and now returns to the screen with an even more compelling performance.
‘Back! Stage’ is produced by CJ ENM’s OST content team, the creators behind hit drama soundtracks such as
'Lovely Runner', ‘Crash Landing on You,’ ‘Goblin,’ and ‘Yumi’s Cells.’ The team oversaw everything from planning to production and music, promising a truly authentic music film experience. The project also includes a lineup of experienced film crew members to ensure high production quality.
Notably, the film was shot entirely on the iPhone 16 Pro, offering a new cinematic format for the genre and showcasing the potential of smartphone-based storytelling. With a seasoned production team behind it, ‘Back! Stage’ aims to deliver a tightly crafted, emotionally resonant film within a compact runtime.
